What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, improve performance, and provide information to site owners.
We also use related technologies — local storage, session storage, web beacons, and tracking pixels — that serve similar purposes. References to "cookies" in this policy include all of these technologies.
How We Use Cookies
dapperms.com uses cookies in four categories:
| Category | Purpose | Examples | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Site routing, cookie-consent state, security. | dms_cookie_consent | 12 months |
| Analytics | Aggregate page-view tracking, traffic sources, user-flow. | _ga, _ga_*, _gid (Google Analytics 4) | 2 years |
| Advertising | Ad targeting, conversion measurement, retargeting. | _fbp, _fbc, _gcl_au (Meta & Google ads) | 90 days |
| Visitor identification | Hashed email-based identity resolution. Does not use cookies — uses tracking pixel. | Dapper ID™ pixel (idpixel.app) | N/A |
Visitor Identification Technology
Dapper ID™ visitor identification does not use browser cookies. It uses a tracking pixel that captures behavioral signals (page views, scroll depth, click activity) and matches them against a consumer Identity Graph using hashed identifiers. Standard cookie-blocking will not opt you out. To opt out, email support@dapperms.com with the subject "Opt-Out — Visitor Identification."
How to Manage Cookies
1. Cookie consent banner. When you first visit, you may see a banner asking your preferences. Your selection is stored in the dms_cookie_consent cookie. You can change your preference at any time by clearing this cookie and reloading the page.
2. Browser settings. All major browsers let you block or delete cookies:
Disabling cookies may prevent parts of the site from working as expected.
3. Ad-network opt-outs. Manage advertising cookies directly with the providers:
- Meta ad preferences
- Google ad settings
- Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out
- Network Advertising Initiative opt-out
California & State Privacy Rights
California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah residents may have additional rights — including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. See Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information to submit a request, or our Privacy Policy for the full set of rights.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
